Dr. Nicole Stern Named President of AAIP

Nicole Stern, MD, has been named president of the Association of American Indian Physicians.

Dr. Stern, who specializes in internal medicine and sports medicine, is a member of the Mescalero Apache Tribe of New Mexico and serves as an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.

Dr. Stern earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine. She also completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
