The thumb drive contained patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers and diagnoses, treatment and research information. There were no Social Security numbers or other financial information on the thumb drive. According to the release, there is no reason to believe that the information has been or will be accessed improperly.
The amount of patients that could be affected by the loss was not disclosed.
