Over Half of Physicians Say EHR Enhances Patient Care

Adoption of electronic health records has grown across the country and a new survey shows that most physicians using an EHR believe it contributes to improved patient care, according to a ChartLogic report.

The National Center for Health Statistics survey reported that EHRs deliver on the promises of improved workflow efficiency and patient health. More than half of office based physicians are using EHR and eligible providers can qualify for $44,000 in stimulus money if they can prove they have meaningful use certification, according to the report.
