During his career, Dr. Goldberg has performed more than 5,000 spine operations for patients with herniated nucleus pulposus, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease and spondylolisthesis. He is a team physician for the Chicago White Sox and a spine consultant for the Chicago Bulls.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Goldberg mentors and teaches surgeon fellows in Rush University Medical Center’s spine fellowship program and orthopedic residency program. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the North American Spine Society and Mid-American Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. His additional training includes a spine surgery fellowship at Rush and additional fellowships in cervical spine surgery at the University of Miami and University of Marseilles in France.
