The Third Frontier Commission awarded $17 million in all to four research collaboratives in Northeast Ohio, including Kent State University, Case Western Reserve University and NineSigma of Beachwood, Ohio.
The grants were given to spur innovation in healthcare, specifically in areas with high potential for job creation.
