Neurosurgeon Dr. David Sandberg Joins UTHealth

David I. Sandberg, MD, has been named the chief of pediatric neurosurgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School.

Additionally, Dr. Sandberg will be an attending physician at Children’s Memorial Hospital and Mischer Neuroscience Institute at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston.

Dr. Sandberg specializes in treating pediatric brain tumors and developed neurosurgery treatment approaches for children. He focuses on minimally invasive endoscopic approaches to pediatric tumors, hydrocephalus and arachnoid cysts.
