Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Ron Israelski Coordinates Shipment of Medical Equipment to Haiti

Ron Israelski, MD, is coordinating a shipment of old equipment to support orthopedic surgery in Haiti, according to a Times Herald-Record report.

Haiti, which was rocked by an earthquake in 2010, has only 15 orthopedic residents and 30 surgeons, according to the report. The shipment will be used to equip an orthopedic suite at l’Hopital de l’Université d’Etat d’Haïti in Port-au-Prince.

Dr. Israelski is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Catskill Orange Orthopaedics and Hudson Valley Ambulatory Surgery. He is also an assistant professor of orthopedics at New York University School of Medicine and director of medical education at Orange Regional Medical Center.
