Dr. Daniel Murrey Prepares for Democratic National Convention as Executive Director of Host Committee

Daniel Murrey, MD, spine surgeon and CEO of OrthoCarolina, has spent the past several months away from his practice to take the position of executive director of the host committee for the Democratic National Convention, which will be held in Charlotte, N.C., in September, according to a Salisbury Post  report.

In this role, he is managing the efforts to raise $36 million and organize 10,000 volunteers. The convention is expected to bring 35,000 people to Charlotte.
