East Meadow, N.Y.-based Grewal Orthopedic & Spine Care will open its fifth office, in Huntington, N.Y., in January 2027, adding orthopedic, spine and physical therapy services for patients in Suffolk County.

The office at 7 Lawrence Hill Rd. will pair orthopedic and spine consultations with a dedicated physical therapy suite, so patients can complete evaluations, treatment planning and rehabilitation in one location. The physician-owned practice will release scheduling and operating hours closer to opening, according to a Nov. 2 news release.

The Huntington site joins the practice’s offices in East Meadow, Westbury and Lindenhurst, N.Y., and in the Elmhurst neighborhood of Queens in New York City. The East Meadow office houses an orthopedic urgent care center with on-site X-ray, and the Westbury office runs an interventional pain management suite with C-arm fluoroscopy.

Kanwarpaul Grewal, DO, a spine surgeon who completed a complex spine and deformity fellowship at the University of California San Francisco, founded the practice in 2018. Dr. Grewal said he tells patients on their first visit that he expects to treat them without surgery, “and most of the time, that’s exactly what happens.”

When surgery is warranted, the practice offers minimally invasive spine procedures, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, cervical and lumbar artificial disc replacement, and complex spinal reconstruction. Dr. Grewal also serves on the faculty at Northwell’s Plainview Hospital and New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The practice, which also operates the GO Rehab physical therapy program, has grown from one location in 2018 to five planned sites across Long Island and Queens.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
