Florida has 21 hospitals on Healthgrades’ list of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery, the most of any state and one more than last year’s 20. California follows with 16 and Texas with 13.
Forty-one hospitals have made the list three years running, and 34 hospitals were on neither the 2025 nor the 2026 list. Healthgrades announced its 2027 Specialty Excellence Awards Oct. 27.
Healthgrades ranked the top 100 hospitals based on in-hospital complication rates for spinal fusion and other back and neck surgeries among Medicare patients from 2023 through 2025. Read the full methodology here.
