Total Joint Orthopedics has secured a debt financing facility of up to $11 million through Wells Fargo to expand its orthopedic implant business.

The company selected debt financing after evaluating equity investments and strategic partnerships. The financing will support increased implant inventory and surgical instrument sets, expanded distribution and development of new implant technologies, according to an Oct. 21 news release.

TJO plans to advance its Aurum implant designs, including porous and revision options, as part of its multi-year effort to eliminate cobalt chrome from its implants. It also plans to continue developing a next-generation hip stem and expand its use of additive manufacturing.

The company has surpassed 55,000 implants placed nationwide, including more than 42,000 Klassic Knee implants. ASCs accounted for 32% of its procedures year-to-date in 2026.

TJO’s Klassic Knee System is supported by 12-year survivorship data and uses instrumentation designed for single-tray primary and three-tray revision procedures.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
