Redefine Surgery raised $10 million and partnered with Catalyst OrthoScience to develop surgical intelligence technology for shoulder replacement procedures.
The funding will support development of Redefine Surgery’s surgical intelligence platform, according to a Sept. 24 news release from the medtech company. The platform uses computer vision, AI and robotics, with an initial focus on orthopedic surgery.
Catalyst OrthoScience, another medtech company, joined Redefine Surgery as a founding partner. The companies plan to develop technology for use across shoulder replacement procedures.
Redefine Surgery’s platform remains under development, the release said.
