Smith+Nephew launched its EVOS Pelvic Plating System, expanding its EVOS platform for pelvic and acetabular surgery.
The system is designed to address a range of fracture patterns and disruptions in pelvic and acetabular procedures. It includes pre-contoured plates for the posterior wall, quadrilateral surface and pubic symphysis, along with locking and non-locking utility plates, according to a Sept. 23 news release.
EVOS Pelvic also features a new cannulated screw system designed specifically for the pelvis and acetabulum and specialized instrumentation to support exposure, fracture reduction and implant placement.
The system is currently available in the United States.
