Medtech company Restor3d launched a patient engagement platform Sept. 8 for patients receiving its custom orthopedic implants.

The platform, called MyFit by Restor3d, provides patients with updates as their personalized implants move from design through manufacturing to surgery. Hip and knee patients receive automatic text updates, while shoulder and foot and ankle patients can log in to a portal to check their implant’s status and view a 3D model of its design before surgery, according to a Sept. 8 news release.

Patients using the platform can also opt into Restor3d’s Patient-Specific Registry, which tracks outcomes for up to five years after surgery across knee, hip, shoulder and foot and ankle procedures. The registry aims to enroll about 2,250 patients.

MyFit is available to surgeons using Restor3d patient-specific implants.

The company said the platform allows it to collect long-term outcomes data while keeping patients engaged.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
