Medical City Denton (Texas) opened an 18-bed, $15 million inpatient rehabilitation unit Aug. 5.
The unit provides specialized rehabilitation services for adults recovering from illness, injury or surgery, according to an Aug. 5 press release.
The center will focus on rehabilitations for patients recovering from conditions like stroke, neurological disorders, traumatic injury and orthopedic conditions such as joint replacement or amputation.
The unit includes an in-unit gym for physical and occupational therapy, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom for practicing daily life skills.
The project is part of Medical City Healthcare’s capital investment initiative of more than $1.7 billion for building expansions, facility enhancements and technology.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
