Tim Czartoski, the former president of DePuy Synthes U.S., has joined the board of surgical therapeutics company Peptilogics.

Tim Czartoski most recently served as president of U.S. surgical and global research and development at Enovis, according to an Aug. 18 Peptilogics news release shared with Becker’s. He previously spent 22 years at DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson, where he led its U.S. orthopedics business.

Peptilogics is developing zaloganan, an antibiofilm drug candidate being evaluated in a phase 2/3 trial for the treatment of prosthetic joint infections. The company said Mr. Czartoski’s orthopedic device experience will support its efforts to develop treatments for medical device-related infections.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
