Orlando, Fla.-based Optimotion Orthopaedics has opened a location in Jacksonville, Fla., marking its entry into Northeast Florida, according to an Aug. 10 WJXT report.
The practice offers ambulatory total joint replacement, lateral approach total knee replacement and anterior robotic hip replacement.
Optimotion’s lateral approach total knee replacement uses an incision designed to avoid trauma to the quadriceps muscle and spare the medial ligament. The approach is intended to reduce pain and support a faster recovery, according to the report.
The practice also offers an anterior approach to hip replacement designed to spare major muscles and ligaments during surgery. Optimotion said the approach can result in less pain, reduced blood loss, less scarring, fewer postoperative restrictions and a faster recovery.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
