Bonesupport, an orthobiologics company, said CMS finalized a Diagnosis-Related Group reassignment for Cerament G, an injectable synthetic bone void filler, in the fiscal 2027 Medicare Inpatient Prospective Payment System final rule.
The change takes effect Oct. 1, 2026, and assigns qualifying Cerament G cases to the highest reimbursing DRGs within their respective clinical categories, according to an Aug. 3 news release from the company.
The DRG reassignment applies to gentamicin-eluting bone void fillers, a category in which Cerament G currently is the only product.
