Tampa-based Florida Orthopaedic Institute has opened a new 23,000-square-foot orthopedic center in Clearwater, Fla.
The facility includes 34 exam rooms, advanced imaging services, physical and occupational therapy and orthopedic urgent care, according to an Aug. 3 news release from Florida Orthopaedic Institute.
Nine orthopedic surgeons will provide care at the new location, including several physicians formerly with Florida Orthopaedic Surgeons.
“We’ve always put our patients first, and this new facility lets us take that even further,” Peter Howard, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the organization, said in the release. “With orthopedic urgent care, advanced imaging, physical therapy and occupational therapy all under one roof, patients can get answers, begin treatment faster and receive the high-quality orthopedic care our community expects from us.”
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
