Piedmont Orthopedics and OrthoAtlanta have added Marc Wahlquist, MD, to their team of surgeons.
Dr. Wahlquist is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. He specializes in joint replacement procedures, including hip, knee and shoulder replacements, according to a July 23 news release from Piedmont Orthopedics.
He has previously served in numerous leadership roles, including chair of orthopedic departments and trauma director for regional healthcare organizations and hospitals. In addition, Dr. Wahlquist is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Wahlquist provides care at the organization’s practice location in Duluth, Ga., the release said.
