Management services organization U.S. Orthopaedic Partners has appointed Dean Brown as regional director of ASC operations.
Mr. Brown will oversee ASC operations across the physician-led orthopedic management services organization’s network, supporting performance improvement at existing surgery centers and helping lead new ASC development, according to a June 25 news release. His initial focus will be supporting Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center as it prepares to open a new ASC in Alexandria, La., this fall.
Mr. Brown brings more than 20 years of ASC leadership experience. He previously served as CEO of Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic in Mobile, and later held ASC leadership and business development roles with HST Pathways, a cloud-based software provider for ASCs,.
USOP’s current ASC network includes facilities affiliated with Jackson-based Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center and Gautier, Miss.-based Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists. Additional ASC openings are planned with Montgomery, Ala.-based Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons, Huntsville, Ala.-based SportsMED Orthopedic Surgery & Spine Center and Birmingham, Ala.-based Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in 2027 and 2028.
