Praveen Reddy, MD, is a neurosurgeon at Conroe, Texas-based Center for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, which operates six offices across the greater Houston area.
Dr. Reddy has expertise in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted spine and brain surgery, including procedures using the Mazor robotic-assisted system and endoscopic spinal decompression with the RIWOtrack electromagnetic navigation system.
In a March 2025 Becker’s article, Dr. Reddy spoke about value-based care and the potential cost savings from shifting more spine procedures into ambulatory settings.
“I’m very passionate about value-based care or shared savings agreements,” he said. The opportunity, Dr. Reddy said, lies in rethinking where appropriate spine procedures are performed.
“I think a lot of spine procedures can be done in an ambulatory setting, and we can save substantial costs,” he said. “I had to do a capsule project, and I realized we can actually save about $16 million on an average in a year, by relocating point of care from hospital to an ASC.”
Dr. Reddy has more than 20 years of neurosurgical experience and has completed nearly 3,000 minimally invasive and 600 robotic surgeries. He earned his medical degree at Osmania Medical College in India and completed neurosurgery residency training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He completed fellowship training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and additional fellowship training in neuro-oncology, cerebrovascular and skull base surgery.
Dr. Reddy is speaking at Becker’s 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, set for June 11-13 at the Swissotel Chicago.
