John Brady has a clear vision for where orthopedic care is headed, and it runs through the ASC.
Mr. Brady, CEO of Geneva, Ill.-based Fox Valley Orthopedics, has made patient access and ASC expansion central to his leadership strategy since joining the practice. After navigating a post-merger integration that required unifying two distinct cultures under one EHR and cross-training staff across locations, Mr. Brady has set his sights on a defining shift in orthopedic care.
“The growing recognition of ASCs as an optimal site of care for orthopedic surgery has me very bullish on the practice of orthopedics,” Mr. Brady told Becker’s. “Patients want access to ASCs and understand they can receive high quality, convenient care without having to deal with the hospital setting.”
Mr. Brady believes the continued expansion of the Medicare inpatient-only procedure list will be a catalyst for independent practices to compete more effectively against large health systems, driving what he calls “the triple aim of improved quality, cost and access to care.”
Mr. Brady is speaking at Becker’s 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, set for June 11-13 at the Swissotel Chicago.
