AdventHealth launches neurosciences institute

AdventHealth in Kansas City has launched the AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute in Shawnee Mission, Kan. 

The institute will provide diagnosis and treatment of conditions including brain and spine tumors, back pain and scoliosis and complex and chronic pain, according to a May 20 news release from AdventHealth.

Neurosurgeons Jayson Neil, MD, Matthew Pierson, MD, and Samuel Taylon, MD, are among the physicians providing care at AdventHealth. 

“We are creating a more connected neuroscience program that supports patients across the full continuum of care,” Weston Elder, executive director of neuroscience, said in the release. “Our teams combine clinical expertise with minimally invasive technology and advanced treatment options to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.”
