Kevin Bozic is a health policy scholar, orthopedic surgeon, and Chair of the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. He is one of the most prominent voices in the country on value-based care in orthopedics, healthcare quality, and the alignment of clinical outcomes with payment reform. Dr. Bozic has served on advisory committees for CMS and the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), and his research on total joint arthroplasty outcomes and cost-effectiveness has shaped national policy. He earned his MD from the University of California San Francisco and his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency and spine fellowship at UCSF.
