Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation 2012 Funding at $3.1M

The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation announced its 2012 funding will be more than $3.1 million to support 176 educational grants and clinician development programs.

The organization awarded 94 graduate medical education fellowship grants to support orthopedic fellowship programs in eight orthopedic subspecialties. The fellowship grants were made possible by support from Biomet, DePuy, Medtronic, DePuy Spine and Stryker.

Additional residency enhancement grants were offered in guest speaker and resident scholarship categories to 82 resident programs.
