Medtech company Catalyst OrthoScience has expanded its shoulder arthroplasty portfolio with a single-tray option for its fracture system.
The update adds a single-tray configuration across major shoulder arthroplasty case types, including stemless anatomic, reverse and reverse for fracture procedures. The system is designed to reduce instrument needs and streamline operating room workflows, according to an April 16 news release.
The platform includes predictable tray layouts and fewer instruments, with up to 46% fewer operative steps compared to other systems. The expansion comes as hospitals and ASCs face pressure to improve efficiency and reduce costs tied to surgical procedures.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
