Stanford Medicine adds spine surgeon Dr. Michael Kelly

Michael Kelly, MD, has joined the spine division in Stanford (Calif.) Medicine’s department of orthopedic surgery, according to a March 31 LinkedIn post. 

Dr. Kelly has held leadership roles at San Diego-based Rady Children’s Hospital and St. Louis-based Washington University, including director of scoliosis and spinal deformities, fellowship director and director of spine research.

He brings expertise in adult and pediatric spinal deformities, with research interests in spinal alignment and surgical immunologic response.Dr. Kelly also serves as deputy editor of the scientific journal Spine and holds leadership positions in international spine research groups.
