Dr. David Altchek to Perform Elbow Surgery on Twins Pitcher Scott Baker

David Altchek, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, is scheduled to perform elbow surgery on Minnesota Twins pitcher Scott Baker, according to a Star Tribune report.

Dr. Altchek will perform surgery to clean up and clear scar tissue from Mr. Baker’s flexor pronator tendon. His ulnar collateral ligament remains intact. Mr. Baker is expected to spend six months recovering from the procedure.
