Hays, Kan.-based HaysMed has added Adam Wait, DO, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopy and advanced fracture care.
Dr. Wait joins the system’s orthopedic team and will support its sports medicine program, partnering with Wally Walstrom, DO, and Kelly Moeder, MD, to serve as official physicians for Fort Hays State University Athletics, according to a March 17 news release.
He most recently practiced in Kansas City, focusing on sports medicine and fracture care. Before that, Dr. Wait worked at Warrensburg-based Western Missouri Medical Center and provided care to high schools, University of Central Missouri athletes and Whiteman Air Force Base personnel.
His subspecialties include hip arthroscopy with labral repair and minimally invasive ACL and meniscus surgery.
