Pittsburgh-based UPMC has opened a multidisciplinary spine clinic in Greensburg, Pa., co-located with UPMC GoHealth Urgent Care.

The clinic brings together orthopedic spine surgeons, a neurosurgeon and a pain medicine physician to treat conditions including spinal stenosis, herniated discs, pinched nerves and degenerative spine disorders. The location also offers proximity to a UPMC Rehabilitation Institute site for enhanced care coordination, according to a Feb. 10 system news release.

The clinic expands access to specialty spine care following the recent retirement of longtime Greensburg neurosurgeon Michael Rutigliano, MD. The site will help reduce patient travel by offering comprehensive spine services close to home.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery. Apply for complimentary registration now.
