Neal Clement, MD, a co-founder at Florence-based North Alabama Bone and Joint Clinic died, the practice said in a Feb. 9 LinkedIn post.
Dr. Clement was one of the Founding Fathers of the practice when it was formed in 1993, and he served as an orthopedic surgeon.
“Over decades of practice, he earned the trust and respect of countless patients, colleagues, and staff throughout the Shoals community,” the post said. “…Dr. Clement’s influence extended far beyond the operating room. He was a mentor, a leader, and a physician who truly loved his profession and his community.”
Dr. Clement was 80 years old, according to his obituary. He earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and completed his residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
