Atlanta Neurological and Spine Institute has opened a new clinic in Riverdale, Ga., expanding care access in the region, according to a Feb. 6 Atlanta News First report.

The new site is the practice’s third, joining locations in Atlanta and Marietta, Ga.

The clinic is part of an effort to improve healthcare access in the county. The group cited longstanding medical shortages in the region as a motivating factor for the expansion.

The practice plans to collaborate with Southern Regional Medical Center and local leaders in education and housing.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
