Vero Beach, Fla.-based Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital has acquired Orthopaedic Center of Vero Beach, expanding access to orthopedic, spine and physical therapy services.

The move will expand joint replacement, sports medicine and spine services in the region, according to a Feb. 2 system news release.

As part of the acquisition, Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital also broadened access to physical therapy and rehabilitation services for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

Physicians and staff from the Orthopaedic Center of Vero Beach will continue seeing patients at the practice’s existing Vero Beach office throughout the transition. Patients will gain access to shared EHRs, streamlined referrals and the system’s five-hospital Florida network, according to the release.
