Dr. Tolo is a past president of AAOS and current editor-in-chief of the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery. He is a professor at the University of Southern California. During his time as president of AAOS, Dr. Tolo instituted the Leadership Fellows Program, which has since trained more than 150 young physicians.
Dr. Tolo has also been the president of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and Scoliosis Research Society.
