Cousin Surgery, a spine medtech company, acquired C Disc, according to a Dec. 10 news release.
C Disc is a reserve cervical prosthesis with a double center of rotation. It’s an alternative to spinal fusion and is designed to address disc degeneration and various instabilities.
The implant was developed by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jean-Philippe Lemair and biomechanics specialist Prof. François Lavaste.
C Disc is available in several European markets, and an international rollout is expected.
