Vamsi Kancherla, MD, an endoscopic spine surgeon at Specialty Orthopedics, completed the first Barricaid case in Georgia performed with a dual‑port endoscopic technique.
The technique can preserve muscle, speed up the healing process and reduce defects that cause reherniations, according to a recent LinkedIn post from Intrinsic Therapeutics.
Dr. Kancherla performed the surgery on a 45-year-old female.
The procedure was performed at Specialty Orthopedics ASC in Gainesville, Ga., the post said.
