The North American Spine Society will spotlight seven studies during the Best Paper Session of its annual meeting, held Nov. 15 in Denver.
The session will feature research on surgical risk, bone healing and recovery in spine care. Topics include the impact of nicotine and cannabis on lumbar surgery outcomes, GLP-1 agonists and revision risk and the predictive value of Hounsfield units for implant subsidence, according to a Nov. 14 news release.
The session is moderated by Brandon Lawrence, MD, and curated by the NASS Annual Meeting program committee for scientific rigor and clinical relevance. The selected research reflects emerging evidence that may inform future spine care standards, according to the release.
