Oregon hospital adds orthopedic sports medicine surgeon

La Grande, Ore.-based Grande Ronde Hospital & Clinics has added John Reid, MD, to its orthopedic staff. 

Dr. Reid is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at Taos Orthopaedic Institute, according to a Nov. 5 news release from GRH. 

He specializes in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, sports-related injuries, cartilage biomechanics, joint replacement techniques and evidence-based injury evaluation and treatment.

In addition, Dr. Reid has served as a team physician for the U.S. Ski Team for 20 years, the release said.
