Weill Cornell Medicine names neurosurgeon-in-chief

J. Mocco, MD, was named neurosurgeon-in-chief at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, effective Dec. 1.

Dr. Mocco was also named chair of the neurological surgery department at Weill Cornell Medical Center, according to an Oct. 21 news release.

In his roles, Dr. Mocco will work on strengthening collaboration with Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian. Dr. Mocco was recruited from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
