Tan Chen, MD, will join Inova Health System in Fairfax, Va. in November, he told Becker’s.
Dr. Chen, who currently works at Geisinger Musculoskeletal Institute in Danville, Pa., said he’s joining a growing spine department with Inova. The health system is looking to expand their spine and orthopedic presence in the region.
“This move represents a pretty thrilling opportunity for personal and professional growth,” Dr. Chen told Becker’s in an October. 6 interview. “There’s a very large medical community in the Washington, D.C. area, and that will allow me to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the field. Being in that kind of environment really helps us push the boundaries of surgical technology, patient care and spine care.”
