Broward Health hospital debuts surgical robot

The technology, used in total hip, total knee and partial knee replacements, combines 3D, CT-based planning with haptic guidance to allow surgeons to create personalized surgical plans and make adjustments in real time. 

The system is designed to improve precision, reduce pain, speed recovery and extend implant longevity, according to the release.
