Zimmer Biomet names 2 orthopedic surgeon advisors

Zimmer Biomet named Jonathan Vigdorchik, MD, and Anand Murthi, MD, to leadership roles with its orthopedic businesses, according to an Aug. 28 news release.

Dr. Vigdorchik is chief medical technology advisor for adult reconstruction and hip implants. He works at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.

Dr. Murthi is chief medical advisor for shoulder, sports, extremities and trauma. He is chief of shoulder and elbow surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

At Zimmer Biomet the two surgeons will guide the company’s new product pipeline and portfolio strategy.
