Spine surgeon Vijay Yanamadala MD, completed Hartford, Conn.-based St. Vincent’s Ayer Neuroscience Institute’s first case with Royal Biologics’ Fibrinet biologic, the company said in an August. 12 LinkedIn post.
Fibrinet uses a patient’s own autologous blood to create a platelet-rich fibrin matrix/membrane, which can help facilitate spinal fusion.
Royal Biologics acquired the system from Vertical Spine in 2020.
