Demetra acquires spine company

Demetra, an orthopedic medtech company, acquired OrthoFundamentals and launched a global spine division, according to an Aug. 1 news release.

OrthoFundamentals develops implants and single-use instrument kits for sacroiliac joint fusions. With its acquisition Demetra is launching Demetra Spine.

Demetra is paving its way in the spine medtech space. It recently acquired majority stake in GetSetSurgical and made a strategic asset purchase from Bespoke Technologies.
