Ocutrx Technologies added neurosurgeon Robert Louis, MD, to its scientific advisory board, according to a July 29 news release.
Dr. Louis is director of the skull base and pituitary tumor program Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, Calif., and is known for his work in minimally invasive and endoscopic neurosurgery.
With Ocutrx he will help grow applications for DigiLoupes, an augmented reality headset, including spine and brain surgery.
“DigiLoupes is more than an upgrade — it’s a paradigm shift for real-time visualization,” Dr. Louis said in the release. “Together, we have an opportunity to redefine how surgeons see, decide, and operate in some of the most delicate and high-stakes procedures.”
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
