Warsaw, Ind.-based OrthoWorx has received a $1 million grant from the Don Wood Foundation in Fort Wayne, Ind., to expand career exploration and talent development programs for students across Northern Indiana, according to a July 24 Times Union report.

The funding will support the launch of Momenta MedTech, an immersive orthopedic startup storefront at JA BizTown in Fort Wayne, where fifth- and sixth-grade students can explore careers in medical technology through role-play, virtual reality simulations and interactive games.

The grant will also fund two new VR job shadowing modules focused on design engineering and quality analysis. OrthoWorx’s programs have reached thousands of students and aim to build a stronger orthopedic workforce pipeline in the region, according to the report.
