Tahoe Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, part of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.-based Barton Health, has expanded its team with two orthopedic surgeons, according to a July 8 report from Tahoe Daily Tribune.
Jeffrey Cummings, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive treatments for complex shoulder and knee injuries. He previously served as an orthopedic surgeon in the U.S. Air Force and led sports medicine trauma training Barton Health’s Lake Tahoe Sports Medicine Fellowship.
Scott Southard, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports-related injuries and restoring joint function. He has run a private orthopedic practice since 2001 and has previously served as assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at the UC Davis Medical Center and as clinical faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
Tahoe Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has three practice locations in Nevada, according to its website.
