SGMC Health in Valdosta, Ga., added neurosurgeon Shahin Etebar, MD, according to a June 24 news release.
Dr. Etebar has more than 30 years of experience in spine and neurosurgery, and he has training in minimally invasive surgery, spinal deformity correction, reconstructive surgery, brain tumors and neurological disorders.
After 15 years of practice he joined the U.S. Air Force in 2012. From 2018 to 2022 he was stationed at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, and he currently is a flight surgeon.
He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of California Irvine College of Medicine.
