Baton Rouge (La.) Orthopaedic Clinic acquired a former Roux 61 property in the same city.

The former seafood restaurant will be redeveloped to add clinical space and is next to BROC’s facilities on Bluebonnet Boulevard, according to a June 9 news release shared with Becker’s. The move aims to increase access to patients in the region.

The Roux 61 location closed on May 31, WAFB reported.

BROC was founded in 2000.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
